Instructor Bio - Constance Colthorp

My focus in education and lifelong learning is to help individuals use Internet tools to develop new skills and become community leaders. I also wish to help existing leaders further their nonprofit, educational, personal or service goals and provide a resource for those wishing to build new skills and enhance their careers. Through the use of Internet technologies we can leverage the powerful aspects of tools that help build community, connecting people to organizations and information. Whether you are changing professions, building a nonprofit organization, or looking for a venue to present what is meaningful to you, these courses offer a resource for gaining the skills you need to realize your goals.

My background is varied in communications, project management and web production. I work full time as as a Communications Manager at University of Michigan.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Albion College.I attended the School of Information at the University of Michigan where I earned my Master of Science in Information. I have taught Internet-related courses at Washtenaw Community College since 1999.
